The following are included with every appointment:
- A relaxing bath with specialty and luxury shampoo and conditioner
- Facial Scrub
- Drying, brushing, and fluffing to perfection
- Teeth brushing and breath freshening (if tolerated)
- Anal gland expression and ear plucking upon request
- Nose & paw rub treatment with massage
- Nail trim and dremel
To teach your new family member the grooming process and to make it an experience they enjoy versus fear, it is essential to follow the program, including the “assigned homework.”
Teaching puppies in steps and at regular intervals helps them become accustomed to the process involved in grooming. This step-by-step process is done instead of overwhelming them with trying to attempt an entire grooming session. It is important to start your puppy on this program as soon as possible. Ten weeks and up is usually acceptable.
The puppy program does NOT apply to puppies over six months or over 40lbs.
Puppy visits will consist of no less than three visits with no more than 2-3 weeks between appointments. Most puppies are ready for full grooms by the 4th or 5th visit. This is not guaranteed, but it is typical.
Each appointment will include:
- Massaging bath with a professional, gentle shampoo and conditioner
- Gentle foaming facial scrub
- Soothing paw scrub
- Introduction to the high-velocity variable speed dryer to fully dry the coat. “Happy Hoodies” are used over the ears to protect and lessen the noise
- Brush and comb out
- Paw pads clipped, feet rounded, sanitary area clipped, and eyes/face trimmed up
- Nails clipped and possibly introduced to the Dremel (used to smooth and file nails shorter and softer), depending on tolerance
- Ears are wiped/cleaned with gentle ear cleaner, followed with all natural oil to replace vital oils that the bathing process strips from their delicate ears
- Nose and paw lotion
- Coat treated with leave -in- conditioning treatment that leaves them feeling and smelling amazing
- Finished with a spritz to have your pets fresher longer
